Welcome to Black Sears Ranch!
We are a small, family-owned-and-operated vineyard and winery producing limited quantities of estate-bottled Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon from the very finest fruit we can grow. We are located at the top of Howell Mountain, in the northeastern most corner of the Napa Valley appellation.
For years, our family has sold the fruits of our vineyards to some of the best wineries in California. The prestigious roster includes Cornerstone, Robert Craig, D-Cubed, Elyse, Highlands, and Larry Turley.
Since 1997, we’ve also produced small quantities of estate-bottled “Black Sears” wines—handpicked from the heart of our vineyards—a few hundred cases per vintage.
Our goal is a simple one: to grow grapes and produce wines of impeccable quality that are an uncompromising expression of the terroir of this unique Howell Mountain estate.
